Condition Monitoring Systems Engineer (m/w/d)

As Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) Engineer, you will be part of the Global R&D Centre Servo Drive Systems and work hand in hand with our After Sales/Service organisation. You will be responsible for the technical engineering of cutting-edge technologies which respond to the monitoring needs of our customers in EMEIA. You will collaborate with different departments and development teams all over the world. By collecting requirements and specifications, you will create your picture of development needs and derive continuous improvements to enhance our current and future monitoring systems. You will be a trailblazer, living the synergy of mechanical engineering and algorithm development – it will be amazing!

You will be responsible for…

  • investigating and researching sensing technology suitable for a wide range of products; 
  • designing, preparing and running tests for CMS relevant events to acquire data;
  • managing data acquisitions and develop routines to classify;
  • developing and validating algorithms for detection of specific events;
  • understanding our customer needs, creating technological solutions that are fit for purpose and make a difference for our customers;
  • providing overall technical support to customers and sales representatives.

What we are looking for…

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Mecha(tro)nical engineering, Computational Technologies or similar.
  • Basic skills in MATLAB/ Simulink are mandatory, advanced skills are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of CMS technology.
  • Skills in 3D-Software, preferable Autodesk Inventor/ Vault.
  • Creative and curious, always motivated to explore new paths.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Structured approach in daily business and autonomous management of different priorities.
  • Working experience in an international context and willingness to travel is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required
