Smart Drive Technology Solutions on show at SPS
November means one thing in the automation industry: SPS in Nuremberg!
Sumitomo Drive Technologies (booth 456, hall 3A) will be one of over 1000 exhibitors showcasing its latest automation innovations at the annual Smart Product Solutions exhibition.
SPS, which attracted almost 56,000 visitors last year, is a key destination for the world’s industrial automation industry and an unmissable event in Sumitomo Drive Technologies’ events calendar.
Marcomms Manager Nigel Evans, comments, “SPS is the perfect forum to showcase the synergies across our extensive product portfolio to a significant audience. Sumitomo Cyclo Drive Germany, Lafert Group and Invertek Drives will be co-located under the Sumitomo Drive Technologies umbrella to clearly demonstrate the wide-ranging expertise held across our company.
“Our booth will have three clearly defined zones to allow each company to highlight their latest products and integrated solutions, whilst making it easy for visitors to see the full range of drive technologies that we offer.”
Gears, motors and drives from Sumitomo Drive Technologies are widely used in a huge range of industrial applications around the world. The company’s current strategic focus is to offer integrated power transmission and control solutions that combine the highest levels of functionality and performance - enabling customers to access precise, energy efficient motion and control for their individual requirements.
Products on show at SPS that demonstrate this integrated approach include HP Combi and HP Integral from Lafert; both options include an IE5 ultra-premium efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motor and a variable frequency drive. Smartris, a new integrated solution for AGV and AMR systems which includes a gear, servo motor and drive in one package, will also be on show at SPS.
“We’ll be showing a number of ‘off-the-shelf’ integrated solutions in Nuremberg, as well as stand-alone products which can be combined to meet specific needs,” continues Nigel. “As technical experts in their dedicated product areas, our teams work together to develop drive solutions based on bespoke customer specifications.
