For our occupational safety department we are looking for you as
Safety Specialist (m/f/x)
Your main tasks
- Support from the employer in occupational safety and accident prevention encompasses all aspects of workplace safety and the human-centered design of work
- Advising the employer and other individuals responsible for occupational safety and accident prevention includes:
- Planning, execution, and maintenance of operational facilities, as well as social and sanitary facilities
- Procurement of technical work equipment and the introduction of work procedures and substances
- Selection and testing of personal protective equipment
- Design of workplaces, work processes, the work environment, and other ergonomic considerations
- Assessment of working conditions
- Safety inspections of operational facilities and technical work equipment, especially before commissioning
- Observation of the implementation of occupational safety and accident prevention in connection with
- Regularly inspect workplaces in relation to occupational safety and accident prevention
- Report identified deficiencies to the employer or individuals responsible for occupational safety and accident prevention
- Propose measures for eliminating these deficiencies and actively work towards their implementation
- Ensure compliance with the use of personal protective equipment

- Investigate the causes of work accidents, document and evaluate investigation results, and suggest preventive measures to the employer
- Encourage all employees in the company to comply with occupational safety and accident prevention requirements, especially by educating them about the risks of accidents and health hazards they may encounter at work. Provide information on facilities and measures for addressing these hazards
- Participate in the training of safety officers
- Collaborate in the implementation of Corporate Health Management in coordination with the HR department and the works council
- Undertake the responsibilities of the fire safety officer
- Develop and maintain the fire protection regulations
- Assess workplaces, evaluate and design these spaces
- Evaluate potential hazards from physical, chemical, and biological influences
- Ensure adequate qualification and training of all employees on fire protection
Your requirements
- Completed education as an engineer/technician or master craftsman or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in one of these professions is desirable
- Acquisition of safety-related expertise
- Flexibility, reliability, and a sense of responsibility
- Independent, solution-oriented, as well as dedicated and structured work approach
- Good English language skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
