Cobots

Collaborative robots (cobots) work alongside humans so often require enhanced levels of safety, as well as high-precision performance. The award-winning Tuaka fully integrated drive is designed specifically for robotic applications. It combines the backlash-free, high-precision shaft drive of the Elastic Cyclo series with a powerful servo motor in a small, lightweight package to integrate flexibly into any type of robotics application.

Electric Motors for Automation and Robotics applications

Different types of robots have characteristics which define their complexity, including the payload and the number of axis on which they move. Fast, short, individual movements require precise control, acceleration, braking and high torque density to deliver continuously smooth movements.

Our ultra compact advanced servo motors guarantee maximum control in compact packages and are widely used in state-of-the-art robotic applications including cartesian robots, cobots, delta robots, anthropomorphic robots, positioner robots and scara robots.

We also offer a range of low voltage servo motors, both brushless and geared, specifically developed for AGVs that need the highest levels of accuracy, responsiveness, efficiency and controllability.

Products developed specifically for automation and robotics applications include Smartris, a compact plug-and-play drive package specifically designed for AGV/AMR applications. Smartris combines a cycloidal gearbox, servo motor and drive controller to enable fast, flexible and quiet movement of autonomous systems.

The award-winning Tuaka is a fully integrated 48V actuator that includes a powerful driver and optional torque sensor, and offers a safety-level up to SIL3 PL-e. Tuaka’s high-precision is due to backlash-free gears from the E CYCLO series, coupled with a powerful servomotor in a compact and lightweight design - making it ideal for high-precision applications and dynamic motion control with a high repetition rate. Features including collision detection have been specifically developed for cobot applications.
